You can change your Saylor Academy account password or reset it if you have forgotten your old password; see below.
Note that our discussion forums use a separate account; how to reset your forums account password is shown further below.
Changing your Saylor Academy password
If you know your password but wish to change it:
Log in to your Saylor Academy account, then visit this link: https://learn.saylor.org/login/change_password.php
Enter your current password and then enter the new password you wish to use twice; be sure to save your changes.
If you have forgotten your password:
Visit the login page and click the link "Forgotten your username or password?" or go straight to the password reset page here: https://learn.saylor.org/login/forgot_password.php
On the password reset page, enter your email address.
We will send an email to your account with instructions on how to create your new password. It may take a few minutes for the email to arrive -- please check your spam filter if you did not receive a message.
Click on the link within the email you received to change your password. Enter your new password and then confirm it.
Resetting your discussion forums password
If you have forgotten your password for your discussion forums account (https://discourse.saylor.org), click the Log In button. In the login dialog that pops up, enter your email address and click the I forgot my password link. Look for a message to your email address and follow directions to recover your account.
To change your existing password to a new one, click on your profile image when logged in, then click on the gear icon to bring up your profile preferences page.
Partway down the preferences page, you will see a Password field. Click the button that says Send Password Reset Email. Look for a message to your email address and follow directions to set a new password for your account.
